Who We Are

Holy Silassie Church is a place of worship, prayer, and fellowship. Our mission is to glorify God, preserve the sacred teachings of the Tewahedo faith, and support our members in living a Christ-centered life. We strive to nurture faith, unity, and love among our congregation and within our community. At our church, we follow the path of Jesus Christ's disciples, ensuring that our community receives services in a language they understand. Acts 2:4-12

 Our Services

• Liturgical Services (kedase): Experience the sacred beauty of our traditional services conducted in Afaan Oromoo, Ge'ez, and English every Sunday morning from 6 AM.

• Bible Studies: Grow in understanding and faith through regular scriptural teachings.

• Community Fellowship: Join us for events that strengthen bonds within our congregation and beyond.

• Youth and Family Programs: Empowering the next generation with spiritual guidance and cultural education.

Where we Located

We are currently located in the rented basement space of Bethany Lutheran Church in Northeast Portland (4330 NE 37th AVE, Portland, OR, United States, 97211) until we will have our own church space. We are Open for an in-person services every Sunday from 6am to 12 pm and virtual prayer and spiritual education services every Wednesday at 8pm-9pm (Text (971) 386-4681 to request a zoom link to join a virtual services).
